Vigil for Palestine - Steps of Parliament House, Adelaide

On the eve of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we will gather in grief and solidarity on the steps of Parliament House, Adelaide. This will be a quiet gathering with some speeches, to mourn the horror of Gaza and come together in contemplation.

DONATE TO THE PEOPLE OF GAZA

Since early October 2023 the people of Gaza have been subjected to horrific violence by the state of Israel. After 3 weeks over 9,000 people have been killed in Israeli bombing raids and armed assaults. Almost half of the dead are children. Over 20,000 people have been injured. More than 1.4 million people have been displaced. The devastation is beyond anything previously experienced by the people of this tiny enclave, which is one of the most densely populated places on earth.

Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS)

We all have the power to help Palestinians. It’s the same power that ended the Apartheid regime in South Africa. It’s the power to boycott Israeli goods and the companies complicit in maintaining the Occupation.

Boycott products with the barcode 729. Tell your friends and family to do the same. Inform as many shopkeepers as possible that you will never buy Israeli products.
