Palestinian Cooking Course

6 & 13 February 2018, 6:00pm-8:30pm

Come along and learn how to cook some authentic Palestinian dishes with two amazing local Palestinian cooks from Adelaide.

A 5-hour course over two evenings. Learn and cook the dish, then enjoy your meal afterwards with a complimentary glass of wine.

Cost: $150 per person for the two-session course
(Sorry - no single sessions available)
Includes 5 hours of cooking course with all ingredients, utensils and refreshments provided. Plus a free apron, book of recipes from the course, and complimentary glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage with your meal. Places strictly limited to 24 people (2 people per cooking station).

Session 1 - Mini Mezza

Mini mezza of cauliflower with tahini and caramelised onion, spicy eggplant tahini and tomato salad, and chickpea salad, served with pita bread.

Session 1 - Main Meal

Musakhan - a very traditional dish of roasted chicken baked with onions, sumac, allspice, saffron and fried pine nuts served over taboon bread.

Session 2 dishes

Mansaf with side dish of cabbage salad and namoura sweets. Mansaf is a traditional Arab dish of lamb or chicken cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yoghurt and served with rice or bulgur. It is a very celebratory meal often made on special occasions such as weddings and dinner parties.
