Protest at Penny's for Palestine Prisoners Day

  • Penny Wong's Office 19 Gouger Street Adelaide, SA, 5000 Australia (map)

Join the Australian Friends of Palestine Association (AFOPA) outside Senator Penny Wong’s Office on Palestinian Prisoners Day. We will be demanding that the Australian government:

  • Publicly acknowledge Israel’s human rights violations and insist that Israel cease all torture and ill treatment of Palestinian prisoners.

  • Demand immediate protections for Palestinians in Israeli prisons including repealing the apartheid death penalty laws which apply exclusively to Palestinians.

  • Trigger accountability measures under the Geneva Convention, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Convention against Torture and the Convention on the Rights of the Child

  • Sanction Israel for its crimes against humanity and systemic use of torture

    When: 12-1pm, Friday 17 April
