April 2011 Under Occupation: a report on the West Bank

Approximately 700 Palestinian children are prosecuted every year in Israeli military courts. Since 2000, more than 7,000 children have been detained and at the end of January 2011, 222 Palestinian children were being held in Israeli jails. Children are often arrested in early morning raids, during which time they are hooded, shackled and regularly subjected to abuse. Interrogations are not recorded and generally take place without the presence of a lawyer or a parent. Both delegations witnessed military trials conducted in Hebrew involving allegations of forced confessions and/or witness statements, allegedly extracted under torture. Israel's actions in relation to the treatment of minors represent serious breaches of the Fourth Geneva Convention, the UN Convention against Torture and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child...

December 2010 Separate and Unequal

Human Rights Watch report

This report consists of a series of case studies that compare Israel’s different treatment of
Jewish settlements to nearby Palestinian communities throughout the West Bank, including
East Jerusalem. It describes the two-tier system of laws, rules, and services that Israel
operates for the two populations in areas in the West Bank under its exclusive control, which
provide preferential services, development, and benefits for Jewish settlers while imposing
harsh conditions on Palestinians. The report highlights Israeli practices the only discernable
purposes of which appear to be promoting life in the settlements while in many instances
stifling growth in Palestinian communities and even forcibly displacing Palestinian residents.
Such different treatment, on the basis of race, ethnicity, and national origin and not narrowly
tailored to meet security or other justifiable goals, violates the fundamental prohibition
against discrimination under human rights law.

July 22 2010 - UN Report on health in West Bank

A report by United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs ("UN OCHA") and the World Health Organisation ("WHO") on the impact of the separation wall on health of Palestinians in the West Bank.

May 2010 "I Lost Everything"

Human Rights Watch report

This report documents 12 cases of unlawful destruction of civilian property by the Israel
Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead from December 27, 2008 to January
18, 2009. These cases describe instances in which Israeli forces caused extensive
destruction of homes, factories, farms and greenhouses in areas under IDF control without
any evident military purpose. These cases occurred when there was no fighting in these
areas; in many cases, the destruction was carried out during the final days of the campaign
when an Israeli withdrawal was imminent.

April 11 2010 Turning a Blind Eye

 Human Rights Watch report

This report documents how Israel and Hamas have addressed credible allegations of lawsof-
war violations by their respective forces during the Gaza war in December 2008 and
January 2009. More than one year after the conflict, neither side has taken adequate
measures to investigate serious violations or to punish the perpetrators of war crimes,
leaving civilian victims without redress. Israel’s investigations have fallen far short of
international standards for investigations, while Hamas has conducted no credible
investigations at all.

August 13 2009 White Flag Deaths

“I want to understand whether I did something wrong to Israel to be
punished like this.”
—Khalid ‘Abd Rabbo, whose daughters, aged two and seven, were shot and
killed while they waved white flags on January 7.

This 63-page report is based on field investigations of seven incident sites in Gaza,

including ballistic evidence found at the scene, medical records of victims, and

lengthy interviews with multiple witnesses - at least three people separately for each incident.
